On June 9, 2006, Aksys, Ltd. (the “Company”) issued a press release regarding the planned change in a majority of its directors and the anticipated closing date of the securities purchase agreement previously entered into by the Company and Durus Life Sciences Master Fund, Ltd. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
