       On July 21, 2008, Riviera Holdings Corporation ("Riviera") (Amex:RIV)
announced through a press release that in conjunction with the release of
Riviera's second quarter financial results, Riviera will hold a conference call
on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. EDT (the "Conference Call"). A copy of
the release is included in Exhibit 99 hereto.


        The information in this Form 8-K and Exhibit 99 hereto shall not be
