EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Post-Effective Amendment No. 154 relates to Class A shares, Class C shares, Class H shares, Class P shares, Institutional Class shares, and Investor Class shares of each series of Rydex Series Funds (the “Trust”) (with the exception of the Trust’s Commodities Strategy Fund, Managed Futures Strategy Fund and Multi-Hedge Strategies Fund) (collectively, the “Funds”). The purpose of this filing is to file risk/return summary information for the Funds in interactive data format.
