CONCEPTUS COMPLETES PUBLIC OFFERING
 
SAN CARLOS, Calif. (June 26, 2002) — Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ NM: CPTS), developer of the non-incisional permanent birth control procedure Essure, today announced that it has completed its public offering of 4.5 million shares of common stock at $16.00 per share, before underwriting discounts. The net proceeds to the Company were approximately $67.1 million. The Company now has approximately 21.1 million shares outstanding.
 
UBS Warburg was sole book-running manager. CIBC World Markets, Adams, Harkness & Hill and SG Cowen acted as co-managers. The underwriters have an option to purchase up to an additional 675,000 shares solely to cover any over-allotments.
