3. Dispositions

The Company initiated the dispositions of certain of its centersprimarily due to management's assessment of the limited growth opportunities at these centers and as a result of certain market driven strategies. Results of operations of the centers discontinued for the years ended December 31, 2011, 2010 and 2009, are as follows (in thousands):
