Note 15. Segment and Related Information

On a regular basis, the Company reviews its segments and the approach used by the chief operating decision maker to assess performance and allocate resources. The Company has four reportable segments: Performance Materials, Specialty Minerals, Refractories and Energy Services. See Note 1 to the Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements. Segment information for the three-month periods ended March 29, 2020 and March 31, 2019 is as follows:
