Share Repurchase Program

Subject to market conditions, normal trading restrictions, and limitations in our debt covenants, we may make purchases in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions under our share repurchase program. During the six months ended June 30, 2021, we repurchased 3,683,396 shares of common stock at an aggregate cost of $187.3 million, which is an average cost per share of $50.85. During May 2021, our Board of Directors increased our share repurchase authorization to $500 million. After these repurchases and the increase in our share repurchase authorization, the remaining dollar value of shares authorized to be purchased under the share repurchase program was $460.2 million at June 30, 2021.

Subsequent to June 30, 2021, we repurchased 407,683 shares for $22.5 million at an average cost per share of $55.19. After these repurchases, the remaining dollar value of shares authorized to be purchased under the share repurchase program is $437.7 million.
