14. Business Segment Information

We aggregate our operating segments into one reportable segment in accordance with the objectives and principles of the applicable guidance.

Sales to customers outside the United States for the three months ended September 30, 2011 and 2010 represented 31% and 43%, respectively, of our consolidated sales.  Sales to customers outside the United States for the six months ended September 30, 2011 and 2010 represented 34% and 45%, respectively, of our consolidated sales.  Information regarding sales to customers by geographic area for the three and six months ended September 30 is as follows:

Accounting policies of the operations in the various geographic areas are the same as those described in Note 1.  Sales attributed to each geographic area are net of intercompany sales.  No single customer represents 10% or more of our consolidated net sales.  Long-lived assets consist of property, plant and equipment.
