Korea Electric Power Corporation will increase the maximum number of its common shares, to be represented by American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”), which may be deposited with Korea Securities Depository (“KSD”), as custodian for the depositary bank under the ADS facility, at any time to 71,433,695 shares (142,867,390 ADSs), or 11.15% of total outstanding shares, from 45,829,660 shares (91,659,320 ADSs), or 7.15% of total outstanding shares. Such increase will be effective from Dec. 27, 2004. (Seoul Time)
