Avnet, Inc. to Present at the Thomas Weisel Partners Technology Conference

Phoenix, Arizona — Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT) today announced Roy Vallee, Avnet’s chairman and chief executive officer, will present at the Thomas Weisel Partners Technology Conference to be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, on Feb. 3, 2004. At 12:30 p.m. Pacific time, Vallee will present the keynote speech and at 3:15 p.m. Pacific time he will discuss Avnet in a “fireside chat” forum.
