Income Taxes	6. Income Taxes The effective income tax rate for the second quarter of 2024 was 17.8% compared to 21.7% for the second quarter of 2023. Year to date, the rate is 3.4% and 18.8% for 2024 and 2023, respectively. The year to date rates include the recognition of favorable discrete items in the first half of the year in both periods.
