Investment Securities

Our investment securities consist of certificates of deposit, corporate bonds, U.S. Treasury securities, commercial paper and federal tax-exempt state and municipal government debt. All investment securities are considered available-for-sale and are “investment grade”, carried at fair value, and there have been no gains or losses on their disposal. Unrealized gains and losses on available-for-sale securities, net of tax, are included in accumulated other comprehensive loss in the stockholders' equity section of our consolidated balance sheets. We had no gross unrealized gains or losses on available-for-sale securities at March 31, 2016 or December 31, 2015. The scheduled maturities of the debt securities are between 2016 and 2039 and are all callable within one year.
