We also sponsor similar voluntary contribution arrangements for certain of our employees outside the United States that meet applicable eligibility requirements. Although we may make discretionary contributions for the benefit of employees under these plans, such matching contributions were suspended for the entire years ended December 31, 2011 and 2010 and the last nine months of the year ended December 31, 2009. In 2011, 2010 and 2009, amounts expensed related to these plans were approximately $2.0 million, $1.9 million and $2.4 million, respectively.
