Investments	Investments The carrying value of the Company’s long-term investments, which are included in Other long-term assets on the Consolidated Balance Sheets, was $110 million and $113 million as of June 29, 2024 and December 31, 2023. During the six months ended June 29, 2024 and July 1, 2023, the Company paid $3 million and $1 million, respectively, for the purchase of long-term investments. Net gains and losses related to the Company’s long-term investments are included within Other expense, net on the Consolidated Statements of Operations. The Company recognized net losses of $6 million during the three and six months ended June 29, 2024. Net gains and losses were not significant for the three and six months ended July 1, 2023.
