Inventory	3. Inventory At December 31, 2011, BioTime, held $37,096 of inventory of finished products on-site at its corporate headquarters in Alameda, California. At that same date $14,078 of inventory of finished products was held by a third party on consignment. At December 31, 2010, ReCyte Therapeutics, in which BioTime owns approximately a 95% interest, held $29,600 of inventory of finished products at its corporate headquarters and $15,870 of inventory of finished products was held by a third party on consignment. The inventory held by ReCyte Therapeutics was transferred to BioTime in connection with the change in focus of the subsidiary's business from the production and sale of products for the research market to the development of therapeutic products to treat vascular and blood disease and disorders.
