Note 5– Equity Method Investment

The Company has a 50% interest in Crawford County Gas Gathering Company, LLC (“CCGGC”) which owns and operates pipelines and related gathering and treating facilities. The Company’s gas production located in Illinois is gathered and transported on CCGGC’s gathering facilities. The Company’s investment in CCGGC is accounted for under the equity method of accounting, and its share of the income or loss is recognized. For the six months ended June 30, 2016 and 2015, the Company recorded equity investment loss of approximately $6,000 and $1,000,

respectively, related to its investment in CCGGC. In addition, during the first quarter of 2016, the Company received a cash distribution of $275,000 from CCGGC.
