     On May 19, 2005, First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. (“FIBS”) received notification from its independent appraiser that the minority appraised value of its common stock as of March 31, 2005 was $63.50 per share, an increase of $0.50 from the December 31, 2004 valuation.
