Accounting Standards Update and Change in Accounting Principle [Abstract]
Recent Authoritative Accounting Guidance RECENT AUTHORITATIVE ACCOUNTING GUIDANCEASU 2018-14, “Compensation – Retirement Benefits – Defined Benefit Plans – General (Subtopic 715-20): Disclosure Framework – Changes to the Disclosure Requirements for Defined Benefit Plans.” In August 2018, the FASB issued ASU 2018-14, Compensation - Retirement Benefits - Defined Benefit Plans - General: Disclosure Framework - Changes to the Disclosure Requirements for Defined Benefit Plans (ASU 2018-14). The amendments in this ASU remove disclosures that no longer are considered cost beneficial, clarify the specific requirements of disclosures, and add disclosure requirements that have been identified as meeting the requirements. Although narrow in scope, the amendments are considered an important part of the Board’s efforts to improve the effectiveness of disclosures in the notes to financial statements by applying the concepts discussed in the Concepts Statement. The amendments in this ASU are effective for public business entities with fiscal years ending after December 15, 2020. The amendments in this ASU became effective for the Company on January 1, 2021 and did not have a significant impact on the Company’s consolidated financial statements, results of operations, or liquidity.
