Explanatory Note

Pursuant to Rule 485(b)(1)(iii) of the Securities Act of 1933, the sole purpose of this Post-Effective Amendment No. 27 to the registration statement on Form N-6 (File No. 333-158634) of Pruco Life Insurance Company and its Pruco Life Variable Universal Account is to delay the effective date of Post-Effective Amendment No. 26 to January 5, 2020. Post-Effective Amendment No. 26 was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on October 9, 2020, for the purpose of reviving this registration statement to conform with the requirements of new Form N-6. We will make a filing pursuant to Rule 485(b) at a future date which incorporates all staff comments and any required missing information or items.
