RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 12th October 2011 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 165 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.18 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 8,997,508 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 716,461,544.
