SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME
 
 
 

CRH plc announces that on 14 ^th May 2008, UBS Limited purchased, on behalf of the

Company, 212,476 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between
€23.528 and €24.00 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held as Treasury

Shares.

CRH plc also announces that on 14^th May 2008 it transferred to participants in its
employee share schemes 23,003 Ordinary Shares at prices between €17.2615 and
€18.28 per Ordinary Share and £9.06 and £14.37 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions , CRH plc holds 10,592,205 Ordinary Shares in

Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is
537,528,231.
