Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

On September 19, 2006 Allied Waste Industries, Inc. (NYSE:AW) announced that Donald W. Slager, President and Chief Operating Officer and Peter S. Hathaway, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, are scheduled to meet with investors and give a presentation in San Francisco on September 20, 2006 in connection with the Bank of America Investment Conference.

Although the meeting is not expected to include the discussion of any material non-public information, the event will be Webcast and the Company will post the presentation slides on its website at www.alliedwaste.com

Allied Waste Industries, Inc., a leading waste services company, provides collection, recycling and disposal services to residential, commercial and industrial customers in the United States. As of June 30, 2006, the Company operated a network of 304 collection companies, 162 transfer stations, 169 ative landfills and 57 recycling facilities in 37 states and Puerto Rico.
