Item 8.01 Other Events.

ClearOne Communications, Inc. (“CLRO”) received notification on February 28, 2007 from the Internal Revenue Service that after Joint Committee examination, CLRO’s $3.1 million refund request has been approved for payment in addition to approximately $326,000 in interest. CLRO expects to receive payment within the next two weeks.

Investors should be aware that the refund is related primarily to CLRO’s amended income tax returns for prior fiscal years, and that $3.1 million has been recognized as a receivable on CLRO’s balance sheet in prior SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K filings.
