Advanced Tissue Sciences, Inc. announced that it has received notice that the company’s securities will be delisted from the NASDAQ Stock Market at the opening of business on October 21, 2002.

A copy of the press release issued on October 14, 2002, announcing the decision of the NASDAQ to delist the company’s securities is attached as an exhibit to this report.
