Defined Benefit Plans:

We sponsor a noncontributory qualified retirement plan. The components of net periodic benefit cost for this plan are as follows (in thousands):

For the nine months ended September 30, 2013 and 2012, we contributed $1.8 million and $2.5 million, respectively, to the qualified retirement plan. Currently, we do not anticipate making any additional contributions to this plan during 2013.

Defined Contribution Plans:

Compensation expense related to our defined contribution plans was $.8 million and $.6 million for three months ended September 30, 2013 and 2012, respectively. For the nine months ended September 30, 2013 and 2012, we recognized compensation expense of $2.5 million and $2.4 million, respectively.
