The calculation of earnings per share shown above excludes the income attributable to the company’s unvested restricted stock units that include rights to receive non-forfeitable dividends from the numerator and excludes the impact of those units from the denominator.  Diluted weighted-average shares for all periods exclude the effect of those units as well as the effect of the company’s convertible notes that were anti-dilutive.
