Income Taxes	17. Income Taxes Our effective income tax rate for the six months ended June 30, 2011 was 46.2%, which varied from the statutory income tax rate primarily as a result of the tax benefit from our tax exempt income increasing the tax benefit from our pre-tax loss. Our effective income tax rate for the six months ended June 30, 2010 was 24.6%, which varied from the statutory income tax rate utilized primarily due to the increase in the tax exempt income relative to lower pre-tax income and the recognition of a tax benefit related to the disposal of certain securities.

17. Income Taxes

Our effective income tax rate for the six months ended June 30, 2010 was 24.6%, which varied from the statutory income tax rate utilized primarily due to the increase in the tax exempt income relative to lower pre-tax income and the recognition of a tax benefit related to the

disposal of certain securities.
