Subsequent Event	NOTE 1 – SUBSEQUENT EVENT Beginning in 2019, the Partnership’s principal operating subsidiary, Edward D. Jones & Co., L.P. (“Edward Jones”), has a written agreement with The Jones Financial Companies, L.L.L.P. (“JFC”) for the services of certain financial advisors who are service partners of JFC and not employees of Edward Jones. Pursuant to the agreement, Edward Jones will make payments to the service partners of JFC on JFC's behalf for those services provided. This new arrangement will not have an impact on net income but will result in higher management fee income offset by higher compensation expense.

The entire disclosure for significant events or transactions that occurred after the balance sheet date through the date the financial statements were issued or the date the financial statements were available to be issued. Examples include: the sale of a capital stock issue, purchase of a business, settlement of litigation, catastrophic loss, significant foreign exchange rate changes, loans to insiders or affiliates, and transactions not in the ordinary course of business.
