18. RELATED PARTY TRANSACTIONS

Dr. David S. Tomsche (Chair of our Board of Directors) is a controlling owner of Leedstone Inc., a domestic distributor of ImmuCell products (the First Defense^®product line and CMT), and of J-t Enterprises of Melrose, Inc., an exporter. His affiliated companies purchased $319,133 and $414,309 of products from us during the six-month periods ended June 30, 2021 and 2020, respectively, on terms consistent with those offered to other distributors of similar status. We made marketing-related payments of $0 and $975 to these affiliated companies during the six-month periods ended June 30, 2021 and 2020, respectively, which represent amounts similar to those offered to other distributors of similar status. Our accounts receivable (subject to standard and customary payment terms) due from these affiliated companies aggregated $114,112 and $51,286 as of June 30, 2021 and December 31, 2020, respectively.
