Item 5.02 Departure of Directors and Certain Officers; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On December 19, 2022, Puget Sound Energy, Inc. and Puget Energy, Inc. (together, the “Companies”) appointed Stacy Smith to serve as Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of the Companies. Mr. Smith will report to Kazi Hasan, the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Smith, who is 37, previously served as the Manager of Revenue Requirements of the Companies since 2019. Prior to this, Mr. Smith served as the Manager of Energy and Derivatives Accounting of the Companies from 2018 to 2019, and as the Manager of Contract to Pay Accounting of Nike, Inc. from 2017 to 2018.
