During the three months ended July 2, 2023, the Company recorded impairment and other lease charges of $2.7 million which consisted of capital expenditures at previously impaired restaurants of $0.2 million and $2.5 million of other lease charges related to three restaurants closed during the second quarter. During the six months ended July 2, 2023, the Company recorded impairment and other lease charges of $4.1 million, which consisted of capital expenditures at previously impaired restaurants of $0.3 million and $3.8 million of other lease charges related to six restaurants closed during the period.
During the three months ended July 3, 2022, the Company recorded impairment and other lease charges of $1.5 million, which consisted of $0.9 million of initial impairment charges for six underperforming restaurants, capital expenditures at previously impaired restaurants of $0.2 million and $0.4 million of other lease charges related to four restaurants closed during the second quarter. During the six months ended July 3, 2022, the Company recorded impairment and other lease charges of $2.0 million, which consisted of $1.0 million of initial impairment charges for seven underperforming restaurants, capital expenditures at previously impaired restaurants of $0.3 million, and lease charges related to five restaurants closed during the period of $0.7 million.
