Shareholders’ Equity

In August 2013, our Board of Directors authorized the Company to repurchase up to $1.0 billion in shares of our common stock until August 2016. Under the program, the Company may repurchase shares in the open market in accordance with applicable SEC rules and regulations. During the year ended October 30, 2015, we purchased 954,580 shares of common stock for approximately $50.0 million, all of which occurred in the first quarter. During the year ended October 31, 2014, we purchased 4,712,025 shares of common stock for approximately $269.3 million. Since its inception, the Company has repurchased 9,771,605 shares of common stock under the program for approximately $533.4 million, leaving $466.6 million available under the program.
