Announces Pricing of $150 Million in
Senior Notes Due 2012

Columbus, Ohio - (March 18, 2005) M/I Homes, Inc., (NYSE:MHO) today announced the pricing of its offering of $150 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.875% Senior Notes due 2012. The notes were priced at 99.314% of their face value to yield 7.00%. The 6.875% Senior Notes due 2012 will be offered only to qualified institutional buyers in the United States under Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”) and to certain investors in compliance with Regulation S of the Securities Act. The sale of the Senior Notes is subject to customary closing provisions and is expected to close on March 24, 2005. The Company intends to use the proceeds to repay amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility.

The senior notes to be offered in this transaction will not be registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements. This announcement does not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy such notes in any jurisdiction in which such an offer or sale would be unlawful and is issued pursuant to Rule 135(c) under the Securities Act of 1933.
