DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS	NOTE 2. DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS We specialize in the design, development and manufacture of powered rotary drive surgical and dental instruments used primarily in the orthopedic, spine, maxocranial facial and dental markets. Our Fineline Molds division, acquired in fiscal 2015, manufactures plastic injection molding for a variety of industries. Pro-Dex's products are found in hospitals, dental offices, and medical engineering labs around the world. In fiscal 2015, we acquired Huber Precision (“Huber”), a business that made custom machined parts. We made the investment to garner a wider customer base, but the sales to the customers that were serviced by Huber dwindled over time, such that activities have become immaterial. As a result the intangibles relating to Huber were impaired during the first quarter of fiscal 2017. Through January 27, 2017, we also designed and manufactured multi-axis motion control systems used in factory automation and scientific research markets and these products can be found in scientific research facilities and high tech manufacturing operations around the world. (See Note 3) Through April, 2017, we provided engineering consulting and placement services, as well as quality and regulatory consulting services through our Engineering Services Division. Although we continue to provide engineering, quality and regulatory consulting services to our customers, we have ceased placement services and accordingly have disbanded our Engineering Services Division. The cessation of placement services is not expected to have a material impact on our financial position or results of operations.
