ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.

On December 22, 2005, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") announced its renewal of the operating licenses of the two units at Wisconsin Electric Power Company's Point Beach Nuclear Plant for an additional twenty years. Nuclear Management Company, LLC, which operates Point Beach, submitted the application for renewal to the NRC in February 2004. With the renewal, the license for Unit 1 is extended to October 5, 2030 and the license for Unit 2 is extended to March 8, 2033.
