Retirement of B. Nicholas Oray, Ph.D.

     On July 23, 2008, B. Nicholas Oray, Ph.D., the current Vice President of Research and Development of Synovis Life Technologies, Inc. and one of the company’s “named executive officers” in the proxy statement for the company’s 2008 annual meeting, notified Synovis of his decision to retire from his position, effective at the end of the company’s fiscal year on October 31, 2008.

     Synovis is actively seeking a replacement for Dr. Oray.
