The following table summarizes the components of accumulated other comprehensive income (loss) at September 30, 2015 and 2014, changes during the three and nine month periods then ended, and reclassifications out of accumulated other comprehensive income during the three and nine month periods ended September 30, 2015 and 2014, respectively. The amounts reclassified from accumulated other comprehensive income for the investment securities available for sale are included in investment securities gains, net on the consolidated statements of income, while the amounts reclassified from accumulated other comprehensive income for the defined benefit pension and postretirement obligations are a component of personnel expense on the consolidated statements of income.
