Subsequent Events	Subsequent Events On July 30, 2014, SJW Corp. and the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of SJW Corp., entered into an amendment (the “Amendment”) to the amended and restated employment agreement (the “Employment Agreement”). Pursuant to such Amendment, (i) the employment term under the Employment Agreement was extended to December 31, 2017, and (ii) the annual base salary was increased for each of the 2015, 2016 and 2017 calendar years. The Amendment also provides for the grant of certain service-based and performance-based restricted stock unit awards under SJW Corps.'s Long-Term Incentive Plan.
