NOTE 10 — LEASES AND PURCHASE COMMITMENTS

Purchase commitments, including minimum annual rental commitments, of the Company totaled $33,273,000 and $27,669,000 as of June 30, 2013 and June 30, 2012, respectively. The Company leases certain of its facilities and equipment under operating lease arrangements. The facility leases contain the option to renew for periods ranging from one to five years. Rental expense was $1,794,000 in 2013, $1,836,000 in 2012, and $2,858,000 in 2011. Minimum annual rental commitments under non-cancelable operating leases are indicated in the table below:
