Note 9 - Operations by Line of Business

Questar's three complementary lines of business include Wexpro, which develops and produces natural gas from cost-of-service reserves for Questar Gas; Questar Pipeline, which operates interstate natural gas pipelines and storage facilities; and Questar Gas, which provides retail natural gas distribution in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. Line-of-business information is presented according to senior management's basis for evaluating performance and considering differences in the nature of products, services and regulation among other factors. In the 2010 periods, separation costs comprised primarily of advisory fees, legal fees and employee severance expenses, were reported at the Corporate line of business.
