Cash paid for interest was $84.1 million in the first three months of 2020 and $82.2 million in the first three months of 2019.
Cash paid for income taxes was $2.5 million in the first three months of 2020 and $1.7 million in the first three months of 2019.
The following non-cash activities are included in the accompanying consolidated financial statements:
A. As a result of the adoption of Accounting Standards Update, or ASU, 2016-02 in 2019, we recorded $132.0 million of lease liabilities and related right of use assets as lessee under operating leases on January 1, 2019.
B. During the first three months of 2019, we issued 89,322 common partnership units of Realty Income, L.P. as partial consideration for an acquisition of properties, totaling $6.3 million.
C. During the first three months of 2020, the fair value of net derivative liabilities decreased by $16.4 million.
D. Non-refundable deposits from 2019 of $14.8 million were applied to acquisitions during the first three months of 2020.

(1)  Included within other assets, net on the consolidated balance sheets (see note 3). These amounts consist of cash that we are legally entitled to, but that is not immediately available to us. As a result, these amounts were considered restricted as of the dates presented.
