Pension and Other Retirement Plans

NOTE 10: PENSION AND OTHER RETIREMENT PLANS

The components of net periodic benefit credit for Company-sponsored pension plans, net of taxes, for the three months ended March 31, 2017 and March 31, 2016 were as follows (in thousands):

Net periodic benefit cost related to other post retirement benefit plans was not material for all periods presented. For 2017, the Company does not expect to make any contributions to its qualified pension plans and expects to contribute $1 million to its other postretirement plans. In the three months ended March 31, 2017 and March 31, 2016, the Company’s contributions were not material.
