EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Current Report on Form 8-K/A (the “Amendment”) of Franklin Financial Services Corporation amends the Current Report on Form 8-K (the “Original Report”) filed on October 9, 2020. The Sole purpose of the Amendment is to correct the format. No other revisions have been made to the Original Report.

Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 8, 2020, the Board of Directors of Franklin Financial Services Corporation, declared a $.30 per share regular cash dividend for the fourth quarter of 2020. This compares to a $.30 per share regular cash dividend for the third quarter of 2020. The regular quarterly cash dividend will be paid on November 25, 2020 to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 6, 2020.
