In the three and six months ended June 30, 2011, the Company recorded net special charges of $6 million and $9 million, respectively, primarily related to legal costs incurred in connection with the Delta Slot transaction.
 
   
In the second quarter of 2010, the Company recorded net special charges of $7 million, which included a settlement and corporate transaction costs.

In the second quarter of 2010, the Company recorded a $16 million refund of ASIF previously paid to the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) during the years 2005 to 2009.

In the six months ended June 30, 2010, the Company recorded $5 million in aircraft costs as a result of capacity reductions.
