Item 12.     Results of Operations and Financial Condition

          
On October 21, 2003, US Airways Group, Inc. (the Company) and US Airways, Inc. issued a news release disclosing the results of operations for both companies for the three months and nine months ended September 30, 2003 and selected operating and financial statistics for US Airways, Inc. for the same period (see exhibit 99 below). This news release is being furnished under Item 12 of Form 8-K.
