Gains on sales of assets in the three months ended June 30, 2019 and the three and six months ended June 30, 2018 included gains on disposals of individually insignificant assets in the ordinary course of business. Gains on sales of assets in the six months ended June 30, 2019 also included gains on the sale of certain assets, step-up gains on equity investments, and gains on disposals of individually insignificant assets in the ordinary course of business.

Other - net in the three and six months ended June 30, 2019 and the three months ended June 30, 2018 included foreign exchange losses, partially offset by other income. Other-net in the six months ended June 30, 2018 included other income, partially offset
by foreign exchange losses. Other-net also included the non-service components of net pension benefit income of $6 million and $8 million in the three and six months ended June 30, 2019, respectively, compared to $2 million and $5 million in the three and six months ended June 30, 2018, respectively.
