The accompanying unaudited interim consolidated financial statements of Union Bankshares, Inc. and Subsidiary (together, the Company) as of September 30, 2024, and for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2024 and 2023, have been prepared in conformity with GAAP for interim financial information, general practices within the banking industry, and the accounting policies described in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2023 (2023 Annual Report). The Company's sole subsidiary is Union Bank. In the opinion of the Company’s management, all adjustments, consisting only of normal recurring adjustments and disclosures necessary for a fair presentation of the information contained herein, have been made. This information should be read in conjunction with the Company’s 2023 Annual Report. The results of operations for the interim period are not necessarily indicative of the results of operations to be expected for the full fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, or any future interim period.
The Company is a “smaller reporting company” and as permitted under the rules and regulations of the SEC, has elected to provide its consolidated statements of income, comprehensive income, cash flows and changes in stockholders’ equity for a two year, rather than three year, period. The Company has also elected to provide certain other scaled disclosures in this report, as permitted for smaller reporting companies. Certain amounts in the 2023 consolidated financial statements have been reclassified to conform to the current year presentation.
