EQUITY INVESTMENTS:
The Company’s principal equity method investment is its 50% ownership interest in AIM Services Co., Ltd., a Japanese food and support services company (approximately $264.6 million and $269.7 million at June 29, 2012 and September 30, 2011, respectively, which is included in “Other Assets” in the Condensed Consolidated Balance Sheets). ARAMARK’s equity in undistributed earnings of AIM Services Co., Ltd., net of amortization related to purchase accounting for the Transaction, was $3.3 million and $10.0 million for the three and nine months ended June 29, 2012, respectively. ARAMARK’s equity in undistributed earnings of AIM Services Co., Ltd., net of amortization related to purchase accounting for the Transaction, was $3.9 million and $13.0 million for the three and nine months ended July 1, 2011, respectively.
