Item 8.01   Other Events
During the week of April 28, 2008, National City Corporation (the “Company”) completed the capital investment transactions announced on April 21, 2008 and received in the aggregate $7 billion in proceeds. In the transactions the Company issued 126.2 million shares of common stock at a purchase price of $5.00 per share and an aggregate of 63,690 shares of Contingent Convertible Perpetual Non-cumulative Preferred Stock, Series G at a purchase price of $100,000 per share.
