STAGE STORES TO PRESENT AT THE CL KING 7TH ANNUAL BEST IDEAS CONFERENCE

HOUSTON, TX, September 10, 2009 - Stage Stores, Inc. (NYSE: SSI) announced today that Andy Hall, President and CEO, and Ed Record, Executive Vice President and CFO, will present at the CL King 7th Annual Best Ideas Conference on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. EDT.  The conference is being held in New York City at The Omni Berkshire Place Hotel.
